Chunyu Li

American Heritage School of Plantation

President and Founder of Sunshine Foundation (FL Branch), President of Florida Philosophy Club

Chunyu is passionate about philosophy and enjoys sharing ideas about both philosophy and modern topics.

Chunyu has loved philosophy since childhood, especially the intersection of philosophy and mathematics, and hopes to become a philosopher in the future. As the founder of the Sunshine Foundation International Branch – Florida Chapter, I aspire to be an ambassador for promoting multiculturalism among young people worldwide. I aim to connect friendships and share cultures between American, Canadian, and global youth through this platform, uniting all efforts to take action for changing communities and the world!

We use online meetings and an annual charity summit forum to discuss how young people can start changing the world from their local communities, influencing everyone to engage in volunteer service.

Young people have many topics they enjoy discussing academic subjects, mathematics, history, philosophy, music, sports, food, and current events. In short, through brainstorming sessions, we use our existing resources and strengths to help each other and unite to contribute to our communities.

Caring for, supporting, and improving healthcare has always been a core goal of Sunshine Foundation’s global youth scholars. We conduct various activities to raise funds for charity and contribute to local community healthcare.

American Heritage School of Plantation

Vice President of Sunshine Foundation (FL Branch)

Hi, I’m Tongwei Zhang, a student at the American Heritage School of Plantation. As the Vice President of the Sunshine Foundation's Florida Branch, I’m passionate about bringing young people together to explore new ideas, share our cultures, and make a difference in our communities. Music is a huge part of my life—I love creating my own music and find that it’s a great way to express myself and connect with others. I try to bring this same creativity and energy to my work with the Sunshine Foundation. I believe that when we come together, whether it's through music or any other passion, we can learn so much from each other and make real change happen. Through the foundation, I help organize online meetings and an annual charity summit forum where young people from different backgrounds get to talk about everything from philosophy and history to music and current events. I think it’s important to have these spaces where we can openly discuss what matters to us and brainstorm ways to improve our local communities. It’s inspiring to see how much we can accomplish when we work together and support one another. One of the things I care deeply about is improving healthcare in our communities. I’m proud to be part of a team that organizes fundraisers and activities to support local healthcare services. It’s not just about raising money; it’s about showing that we care and that we’re willing to take action to help those in need. For me, it’s all about building connections, fostering friendships, and encouraging everyone to get involved in making our world a better place. I’m always here to help, listen, and learn alongside everyone else, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together.

Liwen Cao
American Heritage School of Plantation

Vice President of Sunshine Foundation (FL Branch)

Hi, I’m Liwen Cao, a student at the American Heritage School of Plantation. As Vice President of the Sunshine Foundation's Florida Branch, I’m deeply interested in how we can use our knowledge and passions to drive meaningful change in our communities and beyond. I have a strong interest in political science and architecture—two fields that, while seemingly different, both shape the way we live and interact with the world. Political science helps us understand the systems that govern us, and architecture defines the spaces where we live, work, and connect. I believe that understanding both can lead to a more thoughtful and engaged approach to building better societies. At the Sunshine Foundation, I work to create opportunities for young people to engage in discussions about political ideas, global issues, and how we can all be active participants in shaping our futures. Through our online meetings and our annual charity summit forum, I encourage everyone to bring their own perspectives to the table. We cover a wide range of topics—from political theory and current events to the influence of architecture on society. These discussions are a great way to explore how our different interests can intersect and inspire action. It’s important to me that we don’t just talk about change but actually take steps to make it happen. Organizing fundraisers and other events to support local healthcare services is one way I believe we can make a real impact. For me, being a part of the Sunshine Foundation is about more than just leadership—it's about building a community of young people who are curious, passionate, and ready to make a difference.
